Description: This anonymous film consists of simple silent and partial views of the tribute that was paid to Stalin in Paris, after his death (March 8, 1953). Headquarters of the Central Committee (CC) of the French Communist Party at 44 rue Le Pelletier (9th arrondissement), of l'Humanité and of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT). The three seats are draped with a black crepe. Flowers and messages are hung on a gate, signs in the street and most importantly, a long parade to the Soviet embassy where an often emotional crowd, sometimes bringing flowers, comes to present its condolences to the ambassador and sign the book paying tribute to Stalin.
